IEEE Region 10 Outstanding / Exemplary Student Branch Award 2012

Award Purpose:

The purpose of this award is to provide public recognition of exemplary IEEE Student Branch operations.

Eligibility:

To qualify for the award, a Branch must conform to IEEE Bylaws, have an active program, and support IEEE goals.

Nominations:

A Student Branch must be nominated for this award by an officer of the Branch, using the IEEE Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award Nomination Form. The nomination must be accompanied by supporting documentation to illustrate that the nominated Branch is deserving of the award, and by the certifying endorsement of the Branch Counselor.

Judging:

Awards will be presented to those Student Branches that are found to be operated in a manner consistent with the goals of the IEEE. A branch will be considered to have met this criterion if it has furnished all 6 required items of documentation (List 1 on the Nomination Form) and at least 12 elective items of documentation (from List 2 of the Nomination Form). Verification and/or documentation of the items from List 2 should be available upon request. The selection committee is to consist of the RSR, the RSAC (or designated representative), and a representative of the Region 10 Executive Committee. The RSAC shall appoint one of the members of the selection committee as chairman.

The following fall in this category.

1. Outstanding Student Branch Award

• One award for the R10, US$250.
• This award is given to the most active Student Branch in Region 10 in terms of activities.
• Nominations must come from Student Branch Counselor.

2. Exemplary Student Branch Certificate

• As many awards as necessary for Student Branch officers who have performed well in the past year.
